Samurdhi Beneficiary Empowerment Program for 2019
There are three Samurdhi Bank Societies in the Ridimaliyadda Divisional Secretariat.There are more than 5000 Samurdhi beneficiary families. 438 beneficiaries will be empowered.
Accordingly, the amount allocated for the Rideemaliyadda Divisional Secretariat Division is Rs. 1,430,800. Of this, Rs. 350,070 / =, Industrial Development Rs. 842,696 / = and Fisheries Rs. 80790 / = and the marketing development program costing Rs. 193,800 / = has also been allocated.
The following projects are planned to be implemented in accordance with the Industrial Developmen tand Marketing Development Program - depending on the social environment and economic environment.
43 families of Samurdhi benficiaries will be given Rs 305,000/= for the development of home gardening programs.These include green leaf and beverage sales, dairy trade, wade and snack trades, fruit and beverage sales and plastic ornamental products.
In addition, there has been increasing emphasis on SMEs and industrialists.The bank has identified loans for the apparel industry, such as juki machines and sewing machines, for home-based businesses,refrigeration, scales and other work.
